    How do I get this wifi adapter to work with .8beta9?

    I have loaded the drivers found in the file date 20150212 and edited the /etc/network/interfaces file. I still cannot get wlan0 to appear with ifconfig. How do I get this wifi adapter to work with the beta 8 9

    in the same way how in Raspbian - because PiPLAY is based on Raspbian.
    did you already searched / asked for in the raspberry pi forum?

    I did. I followed the instructions and downloaded the 8188eu_20150212 tar zip file because the version of raspbian is 755. Loaded that. Modified the interfaces file. At least it shows up when I do a lsusb now. But it does not appear in the select list inside of startx.

    i don't want to driver you out of here, but i guess your chance of getting help in that question is higher on the Raspberry pi forum, because to me it looks like a Raspbian thing, not a specific PiPLAY thing...
